Food Services Manager

The main responsibilities of this critical role are to manage the kitchen and dining room operation including leading, motivating and training kitchen staff and servers; create and maintain exemplary menus, meal preparation and table service that meet the residents’ dining expectations and professional culinary standards; maintain food service budget, ensure cleaning schedules, procedures and proper food storage and ensure the dining room atmosphere is pleasant and inviting.
The culinary experience is an integral part of our residents’ days as they look forward to enjoying healthy and fresh food at their meal times. Your core responsibilities will be to prepare high quality food according to established menus with a focus on beautiful plate presentation; provide creative input into menu composition; receive food and supplies; ensure food safety and resident satisfaction; help clean kitchen and equipment as well as oversee the work of the prep cooks.
This role is crucial in assisting our residence cooks in creating a great meal experience for residents. The main responsibilities will be to assist in the safe preparation of quality food; ensure appropriate portion size; assist in the receiving and storing of food deliveries; clean the kitchen and equipment and report food inventory levels to Food Services Manager.
Sparkling clean dishes are essential to creating a superior culinary experience for our residents. In this role you will be responsible to wash cookware, dishware and cutlery in timely and safe manner; ensure proper operation of the dishwasher; participate in cleaning of kitchen and equipment and help out the Prep Cook in stock control and serving meals.
Meal time is a very important event for our residents who look forward to enjoying a gourmet meal accompanied by great service. Key responsibilities for this role include; to serve our residents at meal time; provide dining room, catering, room-service and guest meal service; clean and set-up dining rooms; assist with kitchen cleaning; ensure diet modifications are met within standards and ensure residents are satisfied.
